Hi, I’m Gennifer, the creator behind My DIY Event. I started this space because I have always loved celebrations that feel thoughtful, creative, and personal.
I enjoy the little details that make people smile. Sometimes it’s a printable popcorn box for a Halloween movie night. Other times, it’s a simple party setup that brings everything together.
A lot of the ideas shared here actually started with my two nieces and nephew. I loved putting together themed birthdays, movie nights, holiday parties, and fun little surprises for them. Every celebration became an excuse to create something new, from printable details to playful party setups. Over time, friends and family kept telling me I should start sharing my ideas and designs with others. That encouragement is what eventually inspired me to create My DIY Event.

From baby showers and birthdays to weddings and holiday parties, I love finding ways to make events feel fun without making them overwhelming.
My background in interior and graphic design continues to shape the way I approach party styling and creative details. I am also the cofounder of Unfold Creative Studio, where creativity, visual storytelling, and thoughtful design play a big role in every project.
